Job summary

SKT, Inc. in Keyport, WA is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide entry-level industrial and technical support for production control, logistics, and shop-order processing under the NUWC ISS contract.

The role involves assembling and disassembling equipment, basic maintenance, material movement, and cross-training across departments over 3–6 month rotations, with strict safety and DoD clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical, vocational, military, or industrial training preferred.
• DoD-related experience preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Must obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance eligibility and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install equipment and parts requiring basic wiring, soldering, or connections.
• Perform simple, routine tasks under close supervision.
• Cross train across Engineering Technician areas through 3–6-month rotations.
• Support Work-Order Entry, Tracking of Status, and Data reporting and entry needs.
• Follow safety and quality requirements; wear PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on vehicle shells, buoys, and components.
