ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Engineering Technician I for an onsite, 6+ month contract in Holtsville, NY. The role supports engineering through hardware prototyping and exposure to a wide range of equipment.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma (associate degree preferred), 0-2 years in a related field, and basic skills with hand tools and 3D printing. Onsite employment with AGW as the employer is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; associate degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of direct work experience in a similar industry.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools.
• Basic understanding of 3D printing.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS and MS Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical prototyping operations (3D printing, model processing, fixture assembly, device modification).
• Read and interpret controlled documents, processes, and instructions.
• Operate equipment and tools (3D printers, soldering iron, calipers) under guidance.
• Communicate with engineers, record and document results.
• Maintain test equipment and facilities per ISO9001 under guidance.

Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Engineering Technician I for an Onsite position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Holtsville, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

The Engineering Technician I will support the Engineering support team by performing hardware prototyping tasks. The successful candidate will assist in the creation of prototype hardware products across various environments and gain exposure to a wide range of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing mechanical prototyping operations (3D Printing, model processing, fixture assembly, and device modification)
• Read and interpret controlled documentation, processes, and instructions
• Operate equipment and tools, such as 3D printers, soldering iron, sanders, calipers, etc. under guidance
• Communicate with engineers, record, and document results
• Participate in the maintenance of test equipment and facilities in accordance with ISO9001 under guidance

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED (Associate’s degree in a technical discipline preferred)
• 0-2 years of direct work experience in a similar industry
