This role supports higher-level Technicians and Engineers in the Marion Resident Engineer's Office, focusing on construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling, testing, and construction traffic control. The employee will perform a variety of standardized and non-standardized tests and tasks, including data analysis, editing, and processing, with proficiency in record keeping. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualified applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience demonstrating:
General knowledge of surveying methods, equipment, and materials used in highway construction; understanding of mathematical functions including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection procedures. Good note-taking and communication skills are essential. Safety toe shoes are required.

Minimum education: Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology, Survey Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
