Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a Permit & Safety Technician to manage safe work permitting and establish standards for the Central Permit Office. You will help ensure lockout/tagout compliance and proper risk assessments within a regulated cGMP environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; associate degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related field may be considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities in a regulated environment.
• Experience with LOTO, PPE, OSHA regulations and safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approve and issue permits, review ICCs and lockout/tagout plans.
• Assess hazardous energy sources and ensure safe isolation procedures.
• Adhere to OSHA and cGMP requirements and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure safe work practices.
