Job summary

Triad Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Construction Materials Technician to perform field tests on concrete, soils, and other materials at project sites in Sterling, VA. You will work independently in the field and document observations daily.

You will receive training and advancement opportunities through technician certification programs, collaborate with site supervisors, attend job site meetings, and may perform occasional lab testing at our offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred training
• Construction-related training desirable
• Certifications in Concrete and Soil preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials
• Complete and submit daily observation/testing reports
• Communicate issues to site supervisors and project managers
• Follow all safety procedures on job sites
• Work directly on site with clients and attend job meetings
• May perform lab testing at office locations

Engineering Construction Materials Technician

Location: Sterling, VA 20166

As an Engineering Construction Materials Field Technician, your exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

• Work independently in the field and on construction sites performing quality control testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials
• Complete and submit daily reports related to observations and testing activities
• Promptly communicate with site supervisors and project managers of issues or deviations from plans and specifications
• Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
• Work directly on site with our clients
• Attend job site meetings as needed
• May occasionally perform lab testing in our offices
