A leading pharmaceutical company in Madison, WI is seeking an Entry-Level Lab Technician to assist with equipment calibration and maintenance in a regulated environment. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or associate degree and be comfortable with calibrations. This 4-month contract role has the potential for extension or full-time conversion.

Qualifications

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $22.00/hr

4-month contract to start (Looking to extend or convert to full time for the right fit)

  • Will be helping with lab calibrations - a lot of analytical pieces of equipment
  • Not looking for someone super experienced - willing to train someone
  • Would like someone who is comfortable doing calibrations
  • College lab experience will work well for this role, does not need to be from the industry

Must Haves:

-Excellent communication and collaboration experience

-Ability to stay nimble and manage changing priorities

-High School Diploma or Associates Degree minimum

Job Description:

In your future role at the Madison, Wisconsin site of the global leader in genetic sequencing, you will be part of our team who ensure that the equipment and instruments we use to produce the reagents for Illumina’s sequencing products for analysis of genetic variation are functioning and maintained within the requirements of a cGMP and ISO13485 regulated environment. Working individually and on diverse teams, you will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and associated documentation processes of the wide array of laboratory, pilot plant, and production scale manufacturing equipment. We want your talent, genuine curiosity about instrumentation, commitment to creative problem solving, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Works with cross functional teams and third-party vendors to schedule, calibrate, maintain, and document issues of equipment and systems

Works with cross functional teams on projects to improve and develop processes/equipment using lean manufacturing

Works with cross functional teams to determine calibration/maintenance requirements and procedures

Ability to function efficiently within a ticket-based equipment management system software

Create, document, and execute calibration and maintenance protocols to provide continually improving overall equipment effectiveness following cGMP/GLP guidelines.

Support of internal processes to ensure Regulatory compliance is maintained

Collaborate with Illumina interdisciplinary teams locally, nationally, and internationally to exchange best practices, develop, or align processes, and complete projects

Education
