Job summary

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to work in our Construction Engineering team while based at our King of Prussia, PA office. You will perform field QA at construction sites, observe, document, and report on the work, and assist with materials testing to support quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field at building construction sites as a QA representative, observing, documenting and reporting on construction work and testing.
• Inspect construction and materials compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Test materials including concrete, masonry, steel, soils and foundations; perform field tests.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and clients.
• Work construction hours, which may include overtime.
• Additional duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to work in our Construction Engineering team while based at our officeinKing of Prussia, PA office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on the construction work and performing construction materials testing.
• Inspecting construction and materials compliance with the drawings and specifications.
• Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils, earth work, and foundations.
• Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils. non-destructive testing of welds, and high strength bolting installation.
• Communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Work construction hours (which may include overtime).
• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
• Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Reliable transportation
• FE / EIT in NJ is a plus.
• NJ DCA Special Inspector certification (e.g.: Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience working on construction projects is a plus!
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
