Job summary

Confluent Medical Technologies seeks an Engineering Technician I in Chattanooga, TN to support the engineering team with process improvements, equipment IQ/OQ, and production-line transfers. You will help maintain safe operations and assist with tooling, training, and documentation on the shop floor.

The role requires a HS diploma with technical/engineering studies and up to 2 years of related experience, plus strong problem solving and teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced medical device

Qualifications

• High school diploma and technical degree or engineering studies.
• 0-2 years of related experience is acceptable.
• Proficient in basic computer skills including email, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering team in planning, execution, and control of process improvements and transfers.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment following Health, Safety and Environment policies.
• Assist with setup of facilities and new production lines.
• Execute Installation Qualification protocols for new equipment during transfers.
• Coordinate with engineers and supply chain on tooling and supplies for training and production start‑up.
• Perform engineering studies, dry runs, or design of experiments on the shop floor.
• Update ERP system (Epicor) with manufacturing methods, standard times and yields.
• Assist manufacturing in planning and execution of process improvements.
• Process ECOs to keep documentation compliant and clear for operators.

We are looking for an **Engineering Technician I** to join our team in beautiful **Chattanooga, TN!** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following:*** Provide support to the engineering team on the planning, execution and control of the process improvements and transfers.* Contribute on maintaining safe and clean work environment by following company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environment.* Support the engineering team on the set up of the facilities and new production lines.* Execute Installation Qualification protocols of new equipment during process transfers if needed.* Coordinate with engineers and supply chain the purchasing of tooling and supplies for training, validations and production start up.* Responsible for execution of engineering studies, dry runs or design of experiments in the floor.* Provide support to the manufacturing department on the planning and execution of process improvements.* Coordinate and/or execute engineering change orders (ECO’s) to keep the documentation system in compliance with our regulation and policies as well as assure documentation is clear, updated and accurate for operators.* Update the production control system (Epicor) with proper method of manufacturing, standard times and yields.* Responds to and participates in corrective action implementation to observations identified in internal audits.* Other duties may be assigned **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** High school diploma and technical degree, engineering studies and/or 0-2 years of experience related are required. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. **OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES**: Team work, ability to work with low supervision, learns quickly and independently in the context of industrial or technical activities; seeks opportunities to extend and deepen learning. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
