Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Orange County, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. The role focuses on providing as-built reviews for natural gas distribution and transmission design, under supervision, with learning opportunities from senior engineers.

You will verify plan accuracy, review operating pressures against MAOP requirements, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction or related field required.
• Entry level position; one year experience preparing Encroachment Permit applications and processing such permits on behalf of an engineering company or a contractor; or six months experience issuing Encroachment Permits at a municipality strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction plans strongly preferred.

Purpose

Provide as-built review for natural gas distribution and transmission design.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

• Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes. Receive direction on all aspects of assignments, specific tasks and how to execute. Work is thoroughly reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles.

At The Operational And Company Level

• Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work.

Do the Work

Qualifications
