The Smithsonian Institution seeks qualified candidates for positions within the Office of Facilities Management and Reliability, focusing on high voltage systems maintenance. The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR). OFMR provides the full range of building services through eight maintenance and operational zones.
Experience includes paid and unpaid work, volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build relevant skills and experience. Part-time and unpaid experience related to this position will be considered in determining total experience. Be sure to note the hours worked weekly.
Grade 9 ONLY: Education is generally not applicable for substituting for the 1-year specialized experience. However, two full years of graduate education or a master's degree may be credited if directly related to the work of the position.
