Job summary

Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician for Grande Shores Resort to maintain cosmetic appearance and mechanical function of resort buildings and grounds, inside and out. The role requires handling work orders, following safety regulations, and minimizing guest disturbance.

Responsibilities include performing repairs on lighting, drywall, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC basics, appliances, and fixtures; executing preventative maintenance; and keeping workspaces clean

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or similar field.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Performs maintenance with minimal guest disturbance.
• Replacement of light fixtures, fixing drywall/wallpaper, painting.
• Repairing plumbing to avoid water damage and restore fixtures.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring and other light electrical tasks.
• Ability to diagnose HVAC matters, upkeep and resolve simple matters.
• Appliance, furniture, and fixture repairs as needed.
• Completes all work orders in a timely and detailed manner.
• Execution of scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintains storage areas and work spaces in a clean, safe and secure manner.

Engineering Technician: Grande Shores Resort

Job description: As themaintenance worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cosmeticappearance and the mechanical function of the resort buildings and grounds, inboth the interior and exterior of the property.The ideal candidate willhave experience and knowledge in a wide range of hotel up keeping. Thetechnician will complete work orders assigned by the supervisor while followingsafety regulations and respecting guests.

Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures;report any maintenance problems/safety hazards
• Performs maintenance and repairs with a minimum of guestdisturbance
• Replacement oflight fixtures, fixing drywall/ wallpaper,painting
• Repairing of broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damageand restore full use of water fixtures; other light plumbing work as needed
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severedwire occurs, along with other light electrical work
• Ability to diagnosis HVAC matters, upkeep and resolve simplematters
• Appliance, furniture, and fixture repairs as needed
• Completes all work orders in a timely and detailed manner percompany program standards
• Execution of scheduled preventative maintenance
• Maintains all storage areas and work spaces in a clean, safe andsecure manner

Requirements:

• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends andholidays
• Previous experience in a similar field
• Able to work independently
• Workingknowledgeofbasicplumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenanceprocedures, and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools
