Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in Melbourne, FL seeks an Engineering Technician to support engineering functions within the MRP system. This on-site role acts as the hands-on bridge between engineering and floor execution, performing hands-on tasks, trials, and real-time troubleshooting to keep production flowing.

Responsibilities include prototype builds, machinery setup, and driving process improvements with process engineers and floor staff to optimize manufacturability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology with 2 years hands-on experience.
• 4+ years hands-on proficiency in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on equipment setup and real-time troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Prototype & Experimental Builds: Execute trials, build prototypes, collect baseline metrics.
• Machinery Setup & Maintenance: Tooling setups, changeovers, minor adjustments.
• Real-Time Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and fix process issues on the shop floor.
• Process Optimization Projects: Collaborate with engineers to reduce waste and improve manufacturability.
