Job summary

Aptiv, located in Melbourne, FL, is seeking an engaged Assembler to perform various operational duties, supporting lean processes and safety. You will work closely with supervision to meet production requirements and promote continual improvement and quality across assembly operations.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, performing inspections, and training staff on processes while maintaining a safe work environment and aligning with Aptiv’s TOP values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Progressive experience in assembly, cable/connector manufacturing, or related industrial production.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, work instructions, product/process documentation, and parts lists.
• Compliance with safety, health, quality, and labor policies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment, tools, and fixtures to assemble connectors, labels, and parts to complete a cable assembly per specs.
• Perform in-process inspections and tests and record results accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with Assembly Lead, QA, and Process Engineering to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Train production staff on manufacturing/assembly processes and maintain a safe working environment.
