Job summary

Motorola Solutions, Silvus Technologies unit, seeks an Engineering Technician - Electronics to perform hands-on lab work, qualification tests, and component-level debugging. Onsite role at Irvine, CA, reporting to the Senior Engineering Director and interfacing with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include SMT soldering, test fixture development, data collection, and SOP drafting, with emphasis on safety, lab maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5 years of direct electronics or RF hardware support experience.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and BOMs.
• Hands-on SMT soldering and component replacement under microscope.
• Experience with test equipment and lab safety practices.
• U.S. Person due to contracts; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electronics lab work and product qualification tests.
• Assist design engineers with debugging and NPI support.
• Set up and operate RF, digital, and mechanical tests and document results.
• Maintain lab, calibration schedules, and test configurations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing for smooth transitions to production.
