Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and create electrical diagrams and schematics.

Job Objective: Provide technical expertise in electrical and electromechanical process control. Support the Equipment Engineering group with controls design and implementation in manufacturing equipment and processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support design, construction, installation, and validation of equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate with team and ensure high customer service standards.
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment.
  • Plan layout and install wiring for control panels per drawings.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic components like relays, switches, transformers, motors, PLCs, and motion systems.
  • Create schematics for modifications or new equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/electronic failures at the board level.
  • Assist maintenance with troubleshooting process control systems.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Electrical or Controls Technician in manufacturing.
  • Experience with control panels, troubleshooting, and programming.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, servos, and drives.
  • Understanding of industrial electrical standards (NEC, IEEE, UL).
  • Ability to read and create electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Self-motivated learner with access to books, web resources, and training.

Desired: AS Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering
