Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician D for the Salt Lake City, Utah facility. You will perform test and debug operations on LRU units, CCAs and components, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor and ensuring delivery or repair readiness.

The role requires working with test equipment, performing troubleshooting, and supporting process improvements while adhering to ESD and calibration standards. DoD clearance capability is preferred, with lifting up to 32 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience, or an associate degree with related experience.
• Experience with testing, debugging and repair of electronics in a production environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with test equipment and calibration procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic testing, manual and automated, in production.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical/electronic assemblies.
• Assist Test Engineering with trends, root causes and corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Contribute to process improvements in test and manufacturing.
• Adhere to calibration, ESD, FOD and housekeeping procedures.

Job Description:

L3Harris’ Communications and Spectrum Dominance segment is currentlyseekingaEngineering Technician D/E to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing test and debug operations on a variety of LRU (Line Replaceable Units), circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and components. This role will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for successfully testing and debugging L3 products for delivery or repair.

Essential Functions:

• Perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environment
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environment
• Assist Test Engineering on trends, root causes and corrective actions
• Operates related test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• Participate in process improvement activities in both test and manufacturing
• Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures, including but not limited to, calibration of equipment, ESD (electrostatic discharge), FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.
• Works under limited supervision

• Other responsibilities as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications (one of the following):

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and businessneeds

• Experience in prototype and first time build processes
• Strong Electro-mechanical equipment maintenance experience
• Must be able to read and follow schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with L3Harris products and test support equipment
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
• Able tolift upto 32 lbs. independently
• Experience with SAP, SAPME,TeamCenterenterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software
• +4 years of experience preferred in RF and digital signals.
• +4 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters.
