Responsibilities
- Support PMA-262 (Triton Program Office) at NAS Patuxent River
- Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge as part of an engineering staff
- Account for, store, issue, inventory, destroy when necessary, and safeguard COMSEC material
- Create and retain required accounting documentation
- Verify users have the proper clearance and authorization to access COMSEC material
- Issue COMSEC material on local custody forms
- Provide written guidance on handling, accountability, and disposition of COMSEC material
- Conduct training on COMSEC procedures
- Incorporate emergency action and emergency destruction procedures for COMSEC material
- Handle data transfer devices used to key cryptographic equipment
Requirements
- 3 to 10 years of experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory
- Experience working with COMSEC equipment
- Adherence to COMSEC processes and procedures
- Expertise in handling data transfer devices for keying cryptographic equipment
