Zel Technologies LLC is seeking an Electronics Technician to provide on-site support for ATI7 at CCSFS, focusing on maintenance, integration, and test of electronic sensors and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, minor repairs, and pre/post operation checks on sensors and electronic equipment.
  • Support fabrication, modification, bench test, calibration and troubleshooting of prototypes.
  • Coordinate remote sensor test maintenance and readiness for operations.
  • Assist with field support and stakeholder coordination for projects.
  • Provide hands-on support to Cape test operations and ensure safety standards.

Job Summary:

Provides on-site, electronic technician, research, development and test support to ATI7 at CCSFS. Serves as Electronics Specialist and Technician; performs plans and coordinates upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of electronic sensors and associated equipment. Designs, develops and integrates electrical components, as required, into developmental systems to assist in payload to platform integration activities. Provides tracking of program activities and status reporting to synchronize and enhance missions. Performs specialized work requiring interpretation and application of concepts, theories, and ability to make sound judgments. Provide technical advice to government project managers and engineers

Essential Job Functions:
  • Conduct routine and periodic maintenance, performs minor repairs, and conducts pre and post operational checks on a variety of equipment including sensors other electronic equipment.
  • Provide technical expertise to support fabrication, modification, bench test, calibration and troubleshooting of prototype systems.
  • Plans and coordinates remote sensor test maintenance and preparedness for operations involving multiple functions such as readiness, utilization, safety, and interagency coordination.
  • Assist with ad hoc test support projects, including field support and movement and liaisons with stakeholders in support of project assignments.
  • Performs hands on support to all aspects of Cape test operations as assigned.
  • Complies with and facilitates industry hygiene and safety standards and requirements in the workplace.
  • Identifies equipment and electronics deficiencies.
  • Support both execution and management of technical projects.

  • Eagle PCB design software and PCB's fabricated at a fab house or fabricated themselves.
  • Connecting and configuring marine components
  • NMEA-2000 and network configuration
  • Waterproofing/weatherproofing/ruggedizing electrical components
  • Circuit analysis
  • Microcontrollers and microcomputers
  • RF equipment
  • Knowledge of standard DoD acquisition regulations, practices and procedures.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and tracking performancemetrics
  • Experience in Risk Management processes
  • Good writing skills, as there may be a requirement to write reports.
  • First Aid Certification
  • Boat owner or operator
  • Commercial/industrial electrical skills in order to repair/modify/maintain systems
Education And/Or Training:
  • Degrees Required: High School Degree plus 4 - 10 years’ related experience
  • Degrees Desired:Associates Degree plus 2 - 5 years’ directly related experience
