Job description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position:

Serves as a civil engineering technician within the A-E group within Engineering Division's Office of the Chief, with responsibility for providing technical support and assistance in monitoring and administrating contract operations.

Specialized Experience for GS-07:

• One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing invoices for reasonableness; AND 2) Providing information/data to contractors; AND 3) working in a team environment.

Specialized Experience for GS-08:

• One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing technical support in administrating contract operations; 2) Reviewing contractors proposals to ensure that cost estimates are reasonable; and 3) Ensuring proposed work methods and procedures are sound.

Specialized Experience for GS-09:

• One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Ensuring designs fit field conditions and comply with performance-based contract requirements on civil work projects; AND 2) Making specific recommendations to the Contracting Officer on any changes affecting contracts; AND 3) Reviews contractor's performance to ensure that all work is in compliance with contract provisions.
