Job summary

Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. is seeking an engineering technician to perform intermediate technical work including construction inspection, engineering design, CAD drafting, and plan and specification preparation under the supervision of the Engineering Project Manager in Minnetonka.

Candidates should have an Associates/Technical degree in Civil Engineering or related field, plus MnDOT Level 2 certification within a year and a valid Minnesota driver's license; city contacts

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree in Civil Engineering, survey-related, or related field with at least 2 years of practical experience in construction, engineering, survey work, or equivalent
• MnDOT Level 2 certification in bituminous street, concrete field and grading and base within one year
• Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.

• Performs intermediate technical work involving construction inspection, technical investigation, engineering design, CAD drafting, plan and specification preparation, permit review and compliance verification and related work as apparent or assigned.
• Work is performed under the supervision of the Engineering Project Manager.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Engineering Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree with coursework in Civil Engineering, survey-related, or related field and AT LEAST 2 years of practical experience in construction, engineering, survey work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Level 2 certification by MnDOT in bituminous street, concrete field and grading and base within one year
• Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.
