Job summary

Lam Research Corporation’s SEM Lab in Tualatin operates advanced TEM equipment to image semiconductor samples with high throughput. You will image, document, and optimize data quality while safeguarding customer IP.

This role requires a detail-focused operator who can adapt to a night-shift schedule and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate brings practical TEM experience (HRTEM/S/TEM), familiarity with FIB/SEM physics, and a BS/AS in a physical science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a physical science (Physics, Engineering or Chemistry) is required or preferred.
• Experience with HRTEM and S/TEM imaging is preferred.
• Knowledge of TEM sample prep, FIB, EDS/EELS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate a state-of-the-art TEM for imaging semiconductor samples.
• Work a front-end night shift (12 hours) Sunday–Tuesday and alternating Saturdays.
• Protect customer IP through procedures and vigilant handling of data.

The group you’ll be a part ofThe SEM Lab in Tualatin is committed to providing best-in-class microscopy services to support Lam’s engineering and development efforts. Our objective is high volume metrology data generation, with rapid turnaround times to facilitate more experimental iterations and a faster time to solution.What you’ll doThis position is for a TEM operator working a Front End Night shift.Shift will be 12hrs Sunday-Tuesday plus every other SaturdayOperate a state-of-the-art TEM in order to image semiconductor samples.Protect customer IP through procedure and vigilance.Generate and integrate feedback contributing to the continuous improvement of the sample preparation process.Produce the best quality data in support of Lam's processes.Who we’re looking forCandidates looking to continue or advance a career in electron microscopy.People who see task repetition as an opportunity to iterate and innovate towards better methods.Careful, detail-oriented observers.Fondness of learning and ability to respond well to feedback.Willingness to work a night shift schedule as described above.Preferred qualificationsExperience operating HRTEM and S/TEM for imaging.
