Job summary

Jobtailor seeks engineers who can build systems from engineering drawings and support both delivery and post-delivery operations. The role involves creating detailed documentation and wiring harness assemblies per ASME/IEEE standards, with emphasis on accuracy and fast learning of new material.

Key tasks include interpreting drawings, producing flow charts and schematics, and performing precise calculations.

Responsibilities

• Build systems using engineering drawings, configuration & recovery documentation.
• Support startup & shutdown procedures, ATP/Delivery, as well as post-delivery support.
• Support build and installation of custom cables and wire harness assemblies and tray assemblies from drawings and interconnect diagrams.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, schematics).
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas.

Responsibilities

• Build systems using engineering drawings, configuration & recovery documentation
• Support startup & shut‑down procedures, ATP/Delivery, as well as post‑delivery support
• Support the build and installation of custom cables and wire harness assemblies as well as tray assemblies from engineering drawings and interconnect diagrams
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas

Requirements

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 4 years of related professional/military experience for Level 3
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent AND 6 years of related professional/military experience for Level 4
• Must have an active US Government clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards
• Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies
• Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45
• Must be physically able to move up to 50 lbs.
• Must have color vision to identify cables and wires.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly.
