Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Front End Night shift in Oregon to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts.

At Lam, as an Engineering Technician for the Front End Night shift, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. • Experience in semiconductor experience is a plus.
