Job summary

Belcan in Oxnard, CA seeks a Test Technician (Level 2) to join our engineering team. You will provide test and technical support to engineers, execute test plans, and maintain test equipment and infrastructure. You will read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, work in a cleanroom environment, and document results for engineering evaluation.

This role requires availability for multiple shifts. Travel between Oxnard and Goleta sites (about 10%) to support customers, and assist with data

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related education/experience.
• 2+ years as a technician in manufacturing/engineering.
• Ability to read/electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and process documentation.
• Experience in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with delicate spacecraft hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide test and technical support to engineers on various tasks.

• Participate in test planning and readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and tolerances.
• Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gather, format, and manipulate technical data including test results and engineering changes.
• Conduct tests and record data to aid engineering evaluation.
• Maintain engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports).
• Support internal and external customers’ needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and assist manufacturing/test engineering issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in customer formats.

*Must be able to support working multiple shifts; i.e.: 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.

Basic Qualifications:

*High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year"s additional education and/or related experience.

*2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.

*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

*Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.

*Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.

*Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

*Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.

*Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
