Job summary

Belcan in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Test Technician (Level 2) to join our engineering team. You will support engineers, execute test plans, analyze data, and maintain test equipment and documentation.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing or engineering, the ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and experience with MS Office. Availability for overtime, weekends, and shift work is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide test and technical support to engineers on various tasks.

• Contribute to maintenance/improvement of test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gather, format, and manipulate technical data and test results.
• Conduct tests and record data to aid evaluation or analysis.
• Maintain engineering documentation and reports.
• Support internal and external customers' needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and assist manufacturing and test engineering issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in customer formats.

• Must be able to support working multiple shifts; i.e.: 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.
• Ability to travel between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers, and needed, approximately 10%.

• Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events.
• Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
• Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes.
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
• Maintains engineering documentation and reports. (procedures and test reports)
• Support internal and external customers\" needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues.
• Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers format.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year\"s additional education and/or related experience.
• 2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation.
• Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage.
