Job summary

Fiber Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support our engineering team in Wichita, Kansas. You will fabricate, maintain, and modify tooling and fixtures using RTM, VARTM and other processes, and assist in development of new products.

You will create CAD drawings, collect data, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with engineers to meet project deadlines. Strong AutoCAD skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD proficiency and use of design software.
• Strong math skills for calculations and measurements.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and data collection attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting our engineering department by assisting with various technical tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering processes. The Engineering Technician fabricates, maintains, modifies existing composite and aluminum tooling, prototype molds, fixtures, templates, and shop aids with RTM, VARTM, wet layup or other processes; and assists Engineering personnel in the research, design, development and experimental fabrication of new products and processes. Other production work will be delegated as required.
