GE HealthCare is seeking an Engineering Technician at the State College site to perform testing on ultrasound probe components, including reliability, reprocessing, biocompatibility, and chemical compatibility. You will work with Engineers and Technicians to support design and development activities.
The role emphasizes precise record-keeping, adherence to regulations, and hands-on use of lab equipment such as ovens, microscopes, cameras, and reprocessing systems in a regulated environment.
At our State College site, teams design, manufacture, and service diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers (probes) used across a wide range of clinical applications including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. The environment is high‑mix, low‑volume, regulated, combining advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support to deliver critical imaging technology.
Engineering Technician will perform testing related to Reliability, Reprocessing, Biocompatibility and Chemical Compatibility for our ultrasound products, working directly with Engineers and other Technicians in product design and development.
