You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Fleet Support Team (FST) of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will use broad knowledge of technical processes theory to resolve safety, technical, and operational issues and serve as a technical consultant within and outside FRCSW for any material/hardware operational issues.
• You will monitor performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analyses and support services provided directly to the operational community.
• You will ensure safe and prudent operations through technical assessment of problems requiring platform grounding and or restricted operations, plus develop solutions to those problems in coordination with engineering and logistics authorities.
• You will determine the best approach to resolve technical problems associated with readiness and maintainability challenges.
• You will Identify constraints involved with each problem and develop the proposed solution considering all relative factors.
• You will negotiate conflicts between engineering, Research Development Test and Evaluation, logistics, contractors and program management.
