Our advanced technology is utilized across various applications at federal government agencies, military bases, correctional institutions, courthouses, police and sheriff stations, educational institutions, nuclear power plants, ports of entry, corporate mailrooms, loading docks, and hospitals. We are located in Fairfield, NJ on Route 46.

Job:

We are seeking an electronics technician with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must be capable of reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and equipment specifications. Experience in electrical wiring, test instrumentation, and troubleshooting equipment is essential. A background that includes a degree in electronic or mechanical technology, or equivalent experience, along with a strong analog, digital, and mechanical background, and PC literacy is required.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as an electronics technician.
• Highly motivated, self-starter.
• Ability to troubleshoot to component level on microprocessor, digital, and analog circuits, including surface-mount technology.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, specifications, manuals, and plans.
• An associate's degree or equivalent work experience as an Electronics Technician.
• Proficient in soldering and de-soldering, especially surface-mount components.
• General knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and electronic concepts. Ability to assemble a PC.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Solid knowledge of electronic theory.
• Familiarity with Windows PCs and networking (Linux a plus).
• Experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, audio generators, and frequency counters.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Experience with wave solder and pick-and-place machines is a plus.
