Job summary

Apogee Global RMS is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician IV to support submarine engineering and maintenance programs, focusing on Sail and Towed Antenna Systems. The role requires coordinating with Navy maintenance activities, shipyards, and government stakeholders to ensure readiness and effective problem resolution.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of DoD/submarine maintenance support, hands-on experience with Sail systems, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of military/DoD or related industry experience supporting Submarine HM&E systems maintenance management.
• Minimum 5 years providing field engineering support for submarine maintenance programs.
• Experience leading teams with Naval shipyards, Navy maintenance activities, and government agencies.
• 2+ years hands-on in inspection, repair, preventive/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of Sail and Towed Antenna systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and field engineering support for Submarine HM&E systems, focusing on Sail and Towed Antenna Systems.
• Collaborate with U.S. Navy maintenance activities, shipyards, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to ensure system readiness.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation activities for submarine sail and antenna systems.
• Support documentation, compliance, and readiness verification for maintenance programs.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician IV to support submarine engineering and maintenance programs.

Position Summary

The Engineering Technician IV will provide technical and field engineering support for Submarine Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems, with a focus on Sail and Towed Antenna Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with U.S. Navy maintenance activities, shipyards, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to support inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and system readiness.

Must-Have Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of prior military, Department of Defense, or related industry experience supporting Submarine HM&E systems maintenance management
• Minimum 5 years of experience providing field engineering support for submarine maintenance programs
• Experience serving as a group leader working with:
  • Waterfront Maintenance Activities
  • Naval Shipyards
  • Submarine Force Electronics Material Offices
  • Senior Naval Officers
  • Other U.S. Government agencies
• Experience supporting Submarine Sail and Towed Antenna Systems
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in:
  • Inspection
  • Repair
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Installation of Sail and Towed Antenna mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Experience using Submarine Sail ISE REP Client Databases
• Active SECRET Security Clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance procedures and technical documentation
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in a government/defense environment
• Ability to work independently while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams
