POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engineering is a college student in an accredited BSCE program. This individual will assist in the design of a variety of municipal or infrastructure projects (owned by municipalities and/or local school districts). Such projects shall include roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and parking facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

· Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.

- Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools.

- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.

- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.

- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.

- Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.

- Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.

- Prepare public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and design criteria reports.

- Support of the field activities of project construction inspection staff, relating to design criteria, value engineering or changing site conditions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

· Oral and written communication skills

· Ability to make public presentations

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to present to design team members.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Knowledge of computer aided design software

· Ability to work in groups as well as individually

· CADD Experience a Plus

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Pursuit of a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use. May occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $57,000 - $85,500. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
