Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to support its medical center operations. You will route work orders, perform repairs, and ensure timely documentation of each task. The role requires reading blueprints and maintaining HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, with a focus on safety and compliance.

A valid driver's license is required. The position is full-time and on-site at our Kansas facility, with particular emphasis on preventive maintenance and reliable service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 5+ years in facilities maintenance.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support medical center operations by performing assigned tasks.
• Route work orders to the proper crafts and track follow-up.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Document work orders within 24 hours of work performed.
• Meet preventive maintenance schedules and minimize callbacks.

Job Description:

Demonstrates willingness to perform any required task to support medical center operations. Routes work orders to appropriate craft/shop for follow-up and completion. Checks DIN book at each nurse’s station and makes repairs or reports them to Facilities Management. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings for job completion. Maintains current and accurate work order documentation within 24 hours of work performed. Ensures quality of work with no more than two callbacks on the same job per month. Consistently meets preventive maintenance schedules. Maintains knowledge of main panels and shutoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Monitors building conditions and communicates needs to Facilities Management. Covers shifts or specific assignments as required by medical center needs. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance as directed.
