Job summary

West Coast Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician to support assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced aerospace hardware. You will work with engineers, build prototypes, and prepare hardware for testing and delivery.

Responsibilities include PCB assembly, harness modification, equipment operation, and documentation of test results. Competitive pay is provided, along with performance bonuses, healthcare stipend, and a simple IRA with 3% company matching.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience.

Job description

West Coast Solutions develops advanced electronic systems for aerospace, power, and cryogenic applications. We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced aerospace hardware. Working closely with engineers across multiple disciplines, you will play a hands‑on role in supporting laboratory operations, building prototypes, and preparing hardware for testing and delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Perform PCB assembly, soldering, and rework of SMT and through-hole components
  • Build and modify harnesses utilizing D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors
  • Support hardware integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities
  • Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters
  • Execute test procedures and document test results
  • Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory environments
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of relevant hands‑on technical experience
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical hardware
  • Experience with PCB soldering and electronic assembly
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD certification
  • Experience supporting aerospace or defense hardware programs
  • Experience operating electronic test equipment
  • Experience performing hardware troubleshooting and failure analysis
  • Experience working from assembly instructions and travelers

Pay Range: $28-$45/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability.
