Job summary

Nesco Resource seeks a qualified test engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to set up and perform tests requested by product engineers, and assist with assembly of prototype units. The role requires maintaining a safe, clean, productive lab space and strong documentation practices.

Responsibilities include performing product tear-downs and technical analysis down to the PCB level, reporting findings clearly, and collaborating with cross-functional global development teams to drive

Job description

Education:

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years test engineering experience with electrical-based products OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2-3 years test engineering experience with electrical-based products.

Duties:

• Sets up and performs tests requested by product engineers.
• Assist with assembly of prototype units
• Organizes and maintains a safe, clean, productive lab space.
• Performs product tear downs and technical analysis down to the PCB level.
• Reports findings in an organized manner.

Skills:

• Basic working knowledge in power/electrical engineering; AC and DC power <20kVA circuits, microprocessor and sensor interfacing, firmware interfacing, DC batteries, connectors/wire harnesses.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and identification of components.
• Strong engineering troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.
• Ability to operate in an electrical testing lab environment safely and successfully.
• Very strong planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional global development teams.
