Job summary

Quantic Electronics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support TRM's manufacturing team in Bedford, NH. You will collaborate with production and engineering to optimize processes through methods design, tooling, ergonomics, and 5S, while guiding process flow and cell layout.

Responsibilities include creating and training on written work instructions, reviewing BOMs and routings, reducing errors and labor hours, and providing data to support continuous improvements in tooling

• Identify needs for process improvements to increase quality, efficiency, or performance.
• Review BOMs, routings and work instructions to prepare work locations.
• Work with the team to reduce error opportunities and labor hours per unit.
• Provide process data to support continuous improvement in manufacturing, tooling, and hardware.
• Assist in ECO process and implementation as required.
• Be a key member evaluating internal product quality issues.

The TRM manufacturing engineering team, through the leadership of the Signal Distributions Products Supervisor supports the production team by delivering robust processes and tooling to drive consistent manufacturing outcomes as well as continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician collaborates with our production and engineering teams to optimize the manufacturing processes by design of methods, part number specific tooling or universal tool design, ergonomics and 5S implementation, along with process flow and cell layout.

Description

The TRM manufacturing engineering team, through the leadership of the Signal Distributions Products Supervisor supports the production team by delivering robust processes and tooling to drive consistent manufacturing outcomes as well as continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician collaborates with our production and engineering teams to optimize the manufacturing processes by design of methods, part number specific tooling or universal tool design, ergonomics and 5S implementation, along with process flow and cell layout.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities Include

• Write, implement, and train people to written work instructions or visual aids.
• Identify the need for and work with engineering on process improvements for the purpose of increased quality, increased efficiency and/or increased performance.
• Review BOM’s, routings and work instructions to prepare work locations for material and tooling presentation.
• Work with the assigned team to reduce error opportunities and reduce labor hours per unit.
• Work with other members of the manufacturing engineering team by providing process level data that supports continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing processes, tooling, and hardware.
• Assist in ECO process and implementation as required.
• Be a key member of the team evaluating internal product quality issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing company
