Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking an Engineering Tech Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team in delivering enterprise-scale development for Entitlement Programs, IdAM/ICAM, and digital policy management. You will influence design, implement new policies, and oversee deployment, integration testing, and maintenance across cloud-based environments including AWS.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph, a BS or MS in a relevant field, and extensive experience in security accreditation, systems engineering,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• BS degree in a relevant field with extensive experience, or a Masters with significant experience.
• Experience with security accreditation processes (A&A).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS).
• Systems engineering experience including requirements and system interface analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across enterprise-scale development and engineering efforts.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of database developers, systems engineers, software developers, cyber security engineers, and test engineers.
• Support existing systems while guiding development and integration of new technologies.
• Assist in development of digital policies and integration into enterprise services.
• Oversee installation, deployment, administration, integration testing and maintenance of products.
• Manage multiple product backlogs and coordinate priorities across teams.
• Translate user requirements into actionable Agile sprint stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Provide requirements and system interface analysis for large-scale projects.
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between components.
• Communicate requirements and user stories clearly to teams and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and project management support throughout the lifecycle.
• Support security accreditation/A&A to achieve system approval.
• Support cloud-based environments using AWS.
• Participate in Agile project management activities including backlog management.
• Provide off-hours support and coordinate escalation as needed.

What will you do?

• Support existing systems while providing technical direction for the development and integration of new technologies.
• Support the development of new digital policies and their integration into enterprise services.
• Support the installation, deployment, administration, integration testing, and maintenance of products.
• Manage multiple product backlogs and coordinate priorities across engineering and development teams.
• Translate user requirements into actionable Agile sprint stories and clearly defined acceptance criteria that can be achieved within each sprint.
• Provide requirements analysis and system interface analysis for enterprise-scale development projects.
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between components within an enterprise operational system.
• Communicate the intent of requirements and user stories to development teams and program stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and project management support throughout the engineering and development lifecycle.
• Support the security accreditation process and the customer’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to achieve system approval.
• Support cloud-based environments utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Participate in Agile project management activities, including product backlog management.
• Provide off-hours call-in support when required and identify appropriate personnel needed to resolve issues that arise outside normal business hours.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Typically requires BS degree and 16 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience
• Supporting call-in on off hours; identifying personnel needs when issues arise during off hours
• Managing multiple product backlogs
• Leadership and project management experience
• Must have experience with security accreditation process
• Must have experience with the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
• Must have experience in Systems Engineer providing requirements and system interface analysis for enterprise scale development project
• Experience developing and maintaining interface control documents between components in an enterprise operational system
• Strong communication and organization skills in order to provide support to development team and stakeholders on intent of the requirements and user stories
• Translating user requirements into agile sprint stories and acceptance criteria that is achievable within each sprint
• Experience with agile project management methodologies, including managing product backlogs
• Hands on Experience with the customers A&A process to achieve system approval
