Job summary

PCL is seeking an Engineering/Technical Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to innovative infrastructure projects across Minnesota and North Dakota. The role emphasizes learning from Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents on live sites.

Ideal candidates are full-time students pursuing construction-related degrees, with the desire to pursue construction project management, field supervision, or estimating, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry (e.g. construction management, construction engineering, construction technology).
• Desire to pursue a career in construction project management, field supervision, or estimating.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Assists field/project engineers, managers, and superintendents
• Conducts safety audits and quality audits
• Reads and understands drawings and specifications
• Logs submittals and processes RFIs
• Assists with surveying and project layout
• Maintains and updates field drawings, field equipment and records
• Assists with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
• Attends relevant project meetings
• Prepares memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents
• Assists with project documentation requirements
• Assists with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing
• Performs other duties as assigned
