Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) invites applications for a position in District 08 – Rapides Parish. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years sub-professional engineering experience.
• Six months in sub-professional engineering, heavy equipment operation, or maintenance plus 3 years sub-professional engineering experience.
• 18 college semester hours in Architecture, Cartography, Construction Management, Drafting, Engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist District 08 Training Coordinator in operating the Training Unit.
• Master and maintain multiple databases to track training accomplishments and run personnel action reports.
• Monitor and schedule Structured Training Programs (STPs) for Maintenance Personnel.
• Support management of DOTD's Construction Certification/Re-Certification Program.
• Serve as a liaison between the District and multiple DOTD sections to facilitate information transfer.

Education

High school diploma or GED + 3 years sub-professional engineering experience

Six months of sub-professional engineering experience + 3 years sub-professional engineering experience

Eighteen semester hours in architecture, cartography, construction management, drafting, engineering, or related fields
