The Caterpillar Paving Products engineering division is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to guide the development of advanced controls technologies for next-generation paving equipment. You will integrate hardware, software, and machine systems, driving robust, scalable solutions across disciplines.

This role requires leading teams, aligning with product strategy and Caterpillar standards, and coordinating with global partners to meet project objectives while managing scope, schedule, and cost.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Experience leading engineering teams and projects in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
• Strong system architecture, requirements development, and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of system architectures, requirements, and technical specifications for advanced controls, automation, and emerging technology solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, product strategy, and Caterpillar standards.
• Collaborate with global engineering, product, and business partners to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and drive successful product outcomes.
• Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
• Directing project staffing; coaching, motivating and developing project team and team members.
