Job summary

GreenPath Financial Wellness in Mission, KS seeks a Software Development Team Lead to provide technical and people leadership for internal and external applications. You will set priorities, coach engineers, and partner with Architecture, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high‑quality software.

The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, a BS in CS or related field, and strong Angular and API experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
8+ years of practical software engineering experience.
Experience with leadership, coaching, or mentoring software developers.
Experience with Angular single-page applications.
Experience developing or integrating microservices and APIs using RESTful, SOAP, or gRPC.
Relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (EF, NHibernate, Dapper).
Experience with Git, SVN, or TFS; Scrum/Kanban/Agile.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Lead a team through design, development, testing, deployment, and support of applications.
Provide hands-on technical leadership, coaching, and feedback.
Set work priorities and monitor progress for quality and timely delivery.
Apply secure SDLC methodologies and coding standards.
Create and promote best practices for design, development, and testing.
Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, QA, and stakeholders to meet needs.
Evaluate emerging tools including AI-assisted development to improve quality and productivity.
Develop and maintain technical and architecture documentation.
Manage production-support priorities and address issues promptly.
Conduct root-cause analysis and preventive actions for recurring issues.
Manage resources, assignments, and address productivity concerns.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment with accountability.
