Job summary
Caterpillar is seeking an Engineering Team Lead in Mossville, IL, within the Aftertreatment & Exhaust Systems performance engineering team. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership to deliver optimized aftertreatment solutions and maintain cost, quality, reliability, and manufacturability across products.
You will drive project scopes, coordinate across sales, product development, and manufacturing, and guide teams through evaluation, validation, and factory implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Master's degree in engineering preferred.
- Progressive leadership and design/simulation experience beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Coordinating resources across the business with sales, product development, value chain and manufacturing.
- Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders; resolving issues.
