Summary

In this role, you will play a key part in the success of an engineering team, balancing technical and leadership responsibilities. You will manage the development lifecycle of complex software solutions, ensuring excellence in design, development, and deployment. You will support team dynamics by promoting a healthy work environment, offering constructive feedback, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and design of scalable, high-performance software systems.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing mindset, continuous integration, deployment practices (CI/CD), application security, and continuous pairing.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals and contribute to strategy discussions.
  • Participate in regular retrospectives for development teams to review processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide a direct point of contact for engineers, bridging results between engineering and leadership.
  • Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into the development lifecycle, exploring solutions such as automated code generation and intelligent testing frameworks.
  • Interface with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architecture team, Practice Managers, CloudOps, and Security teams on project status, progress, and potential risks.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field highly preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable, complex software solutions, with hands-on experience in architecture, microservices, and distributed systems required.
  • Skilled in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, application security, code review standards, and implementing and testing best practices required.
  • Strong programming skills and hands-on experience in multiple technologies such as C#, Java, .Net Core, Python, Angular, and JavaScript required.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud required.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, with the ability to break down complex projects, manage timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks required.
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
