Job summary

Flex is seeking an Engineering Support Associate in Des Moines, Iowa to assist engineering and production teams. The role involves quality checks on wiring diagrams, creating labels, organizing drawings, and supporting CAD tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school education preferred.
• Proficient with Windows-based computers, spreadsheets and MS Office applications.
• Attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Ability to learn new skills and work in a team setting.
• Able to perform office tasks such as printing, scanning, organizing paperwork.
• Beginner level knowledge of AutoCAD for basic 2D drafting tasks.
• Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control checks on wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and other engineer-produced documents.
• Produce deliverables for the production shop including adhesive labels, wire markers, nameplates, and cable tags using industrial label printers.
• Print, review, and organize drawings and blueprints for production use.
• Use AutoCAD to create/update technical drawings and plans.
• Run and maintain laser engraving machines to produce placards and nameplates.
• Perform document control tasks such as stamping, archiving data, and managing revisions.
• Scan and organize drawings/files on the network.
