Description

Transmission Line Supervisor

Asplundh Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to lead our team as a supervisor. This position is remote.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and partners regularly to foster relationships.
• Lead engineers in transmission line design projects, including:
• Developing PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models for new and existing designs.
• Conducting site visits for inventory, hard spot identification, and construction coordination.
• Generating studies, project estimates, material and pole orders, bid documents, and as-built reports.
• Coordinating with construction, environmental, real estate, permitting, and geotechnical teams.
• Review and ensure quality control of work performed by team members.
• Prepare proposals with cost estimates, project approaches, and schedules.
• Collaborate with other Power Delivery groups, including civil/structural, distribution, and substation design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and customer service.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD software.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to enter transmission line ROWs and construction sites with proper PPE.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening.

Education & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in Transmission Line Design.
• Proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and drafting tools is a plus.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
• Extensive PLS-CADD experience required.
