Corning Inc. is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Hickory, NC to lead a small team focused on process optimization, continuous improvement, and integration of new processes in a manufacturing setting.

You will drive capacity, quality, and cost performance while developing technical talent and aligning engineering efforts with business objectives. Requires 5+ years in process/manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process, Materials, Polymer, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years in process engineering or manufacturing support roles.
• Experience leading process improvement, cost reduction, or new product integration projects.
• Experience mentoring or leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel ~10%, with occasional weekend/after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity expansion, yield, quality, and cost-reduction projects with detailed plans, timelines and budgets.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations, troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues using data and engineering principles.
• Lead implementation and integration of new processes and technologies with robust transfer and validation.
• Standardize best practices across operations and share learnings with peer sites.
• Collaborate with Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to align with standards.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster continuous improvement and technical excellence.
