This person will be responsible for assisting with developer coordination; coordination with other City departments; staff leadership/coaching/mentoring; drainage study and plan set QA/QC; and development review process improvements and efficiencies. This individual will supervise a team of engineers and technical staff and will be responsible for reviewing development and/or construction submittals and solving complex technical problems.**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**: * Supervises and acts as a leader for the development review team. Manages workload, staff, and/or initiatives and holds staff accountable. Establishes team priorities, objectives, goals, and expectations.* Participates in the selection of technical engineering staff; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies. Tracks workload data and develops solutions to ensure performance metrics are met.* Provides leadership and works with staff to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the department’s and the City’s mission, objectives, and values.* Thoroughly understands the technical criteria implemented by the development review team and the development review process.
