Job summary

MIDCON CABLES CO INC in South Carolina seeks an Engineering Supervisor to provide technical leadership and direct supervision of the engineering team supporting product development, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.

You will coach and evaluate engineers, manage workloads, review customer drawings for manufacturability, support onboarding, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Program Management to drive quality, delivery, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with cable assembly, wire harness, or electromechanical manufacturing preferred.
• ERP experience (Epicor preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate engineering personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and development plans.
• Assign engineering workloads and priorities.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Oversee BOMs, routers, work instructions, process sheets, and ECNs.
• Review customer drawings and specifications for manufacturability.
• Support production troubleshooting.
• Lead new product introduction and first article builds.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, Quality, Program Management, Purchasing, Sales, and Estimating.
• Support AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, customer, and ITAR compliance.
• Track engineering projects and KPIs.
• Maintain engineering documentation within Epicor.
