Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Industrial Commercial Energy group in our Pittsburgh office. The candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with freshman or sophomore status preferred and must have a valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit are preferred. Responsibilities include performing routine calculations under a senior engineer, obtaining drawings from

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore preferred).
Valid driver’s license is required.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine calculations under senior engineer.
Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data.
Copy and scan project drawings.
Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools.
Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them.
Work with the Planning department.
Work with the Design (structural) department.
Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department.
Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
