Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Community Design group in Traverse City. You are pursuing a bachelor's in civil or environmental engineering (freshman or sophomore preferred) with a valid driver's license; familiarity with Microsoft Office is required and knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.

You will assist engineers, obtain drawings, analyze rainfall and flow data, copy/scan drawings, and help develop spreadsheet tools while coordinating with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (freshman or sophomore preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation or Revit preferred.
• Self-motivated, highly organized with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under a senior engineer.
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
• Analyze data for rainfall and continuous flow.
• Copy and scan project drawings and assist with spreadsheet tools.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers and take direction.
• Engage with Planning, Design, and Hydraulic/Hydrology teams.
• Maintain clear communication with staff and clients and ensure safety.
