Job summary

Terumo Neuro is seeking a Specialist II in Engineering to support medium-sized product/process development for medical devices. You will work with engineers to write specifications, design fixtures, fabricate prototypes, and test processes to ensure concepts meet requirements.

The role includes providing technical direction, creating drawings, generating invention disclosures when applicable, and ensuring compliance with quality systems and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience as a technician or similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and related programs.
• Good laboratory and manufacturing practices and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test units or components under operational conditions to gather data.
• Record and analyze test results using basic to intermediate statistics.
• Write test protocols and reports with input from engineering staff.
• Set up, adjust, repair, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Provide technical direction to technicians and engineering specialists to meet project goals.
• Fabricate intermediate complex prototypes, manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures.
• Create drawings for prototypes, manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures.
• Generate intellectual property write inventions disclosures if applicable.
• Meet project goals with guidance.
• Support Production or Process Development as required.
• Comply with laws and Quality Management System requirements and maintain ethics.
